For anyone who remembers the automotive cruising scene in the 1960s, this 1967 Mustang GT will spark a flashback to street racing and hanging out at the drive-ins. The vintage burgandy-on-red fastback has been restored back to the day it left the Ford factory in San Jose California In November of 1966. This is a factory S-code fastback, with the factory 390 FE engine under rated from the factory at 320HP with 427 lb/ft torque that is mated to a four speed manual transmission. Power steering and power front disc brakes enhance the drive, while an AM/FM radio provides the ability to listen to the oldies as you cruise down the road. For 1967, Ford redesigned the Mustang for the first time, stretching the original pony car size to accommodate big-block power. Overall, the second-generation Mustang is more muscular in appearance with its more pronounced Coke-bottle shape, larger grille opening, deeply sculptured side sheet metal ending with a pair of simulated brake-cooling scoops, and a concave rear panel with inset triple-lens tail lights. The optional GT Equipment Group on this fastback adds even more performance styling with a pair of grille-mounted fog lights, white rocker-panel stripes with GT emblems, a GT gas cap and rear valance cutouts for the tailpipes. GTs also came from the factory with the Special Handling Package that upgraded the suspension with higher-rate springs, stiffer shocks and a larger front stabilizer bar. This 1967 Mustang GT fastback is also equipped with the louvered hood that supplies functional rear-facing vents with integral turn-signal indicators.
The paint is fantastic, the body is laser straight and the fit and finish is superb. All of the chrome ,trim and bright work are amazing and glisten in the sun. This Mustang GT HAS A NUMBERS CORRECT AND DATE CODE CORRECT 390 BLOCK, CYLINDER HEADS, EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND INTAKE! This pony goes straight down the road with authority and demands attention wherever it goes! It is very rare to find a 1967 Mustang with what appears to be all original panels in this condition. We ran a paper thin credit card magnet everywhere on the car and it stuck like glue.
